Chris Bain is Professor of Practice in Digital Health in the Monash Faculty of Information Technology –the first to hold this role. He leads Monash's efforts in digital health, working with faculties and Institutes across the University, as well as with a range of health industry partners.

With more than 30 years' experience in the health industry, including 12 in clinical medicine, Professor Bain sees incredible potential for innovation and change for the better in healthcare delivery.

Cathie Reid is the co-founder of Australia’s Epic Group, and she’s passionate about new health solutions. She’s also a Monash alumni from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She talks to us about the acceleration of change driven by the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Chris' position is the first of its kind in the faculty. He has more than 30 years' experience in the health industry, including 12 in clinical medicine. He's led numerous software development and implementation projects in the health industry and works with many faculties and Institutes across the University, as well as with a range of health industry partners, in leading the Monash efforts in Digital Health

    Cathie is the Co-Founder of Australia’s Epic Group, including Epic Pharmacy and Epic Good Foundation, and the Co-Founder of Icon Group, which includes Icon Cancer Care, Radiation Oncology Centres (ROC), Slade Health chemotherapy compounding, and pharmacy management services to the Epic and Slade Pharmacies. She’s also a Monash Alumni from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

    Director, Bachelor of Global Studies, and Lecturer, School of Language, Literature, Cultures and Linguistics

    Susan's research and teaching specialties focus on gender, sociology, contemporary Australia, terrorism, and Islam in the modern world. Susan hosted the “Assumptions” series on ABC’s Radio National, and was named one of the 20 Most Influential Australian Female Voices in 2012 by The Age.
