Biography

Lara is completing a PhD on innovations in menstrual organisation (menstrual cups and workplace policies). She consults for institutions and organisations on menstrual practices and on broader matters concerning women, especially in the workplace. Lara is a founding member of the Menstruation Research Network (UK), an interdisciplinary research group funded by the Wellcome Trust. She's the author of an influential book on menstrual self-care, "Her blood is gold: Awakening to the wisdom of menstruation", and is working on a book on menstrual activism.
