Biography
Whitney is a lecturer in communications and media studies in the School of Media, Film, and Journalism. She’s the co-convener of Monash's Gender and Media Lab. Her research explores issues of representation on screen, asking, “Who is represented ,and on what terms?”
Her current research projects focus on LGBTIQA+ inclusion, examining how queer screen cultures operate, how LGBTIQA+ people are represented in media, and how those representations impact society.
