Biography

Toby has published on topics including rational choice theory, moral and political theory, as well as metaphysics and philosophy of physics. His current projects are focused on understanding social norms (their nature, the processes by which they change, the way they interact with rational choice). He's particularly interested in using formal techniques (game theory, evolutionary modelling, rational choice) and in engaging with disciplines outside of philosophy to illuminate these issues.
