Biography
Paul is a pianist, composer, arranger, conductor – and is one of Australia’s most distinguished artists. He is the Executive Director, Performing Arts, at the Monash Academy of Performing Arts and has written the scores for more than 20 feature films in Australia, the UK and US. He is the founder of the Australian Art Orchestra and has won four ARIA awards, two Helpmann awards, several Bell Awards and a Deadly award. He was the Sydney Myer Performing Artist of the Year in 2000, and was Artistic Director of the Queensland Music Festival from 2005-2007 and the 2010 Adelaide Festival. Paul was appointed Vice-Chancellor's Professorial Fellow in the Monash School of Music in July 2012. In 2014 he was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) for services to music as an educator, a mentor composer and pianist.
