Biography
Matt's research group investigates the evolutionary genomics of biological challenges – sex, death and disease. Projects in his research group include understanding how host and pathogen genes interact to influence the severity of infectious disease; how the ecology of an organism influences the evolution of lifespan and ageing; and the contrasting contributions of autosomal and mitochondrial genetic variation to male and female life-history.
