Biography
Marta trained and worked in public health for more than a decade, initially working on policy, reporting and program development in the area of perinatal depression and anxiety. In 2017, she moved into the field of gerontology, and recently submitted her PhD at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Monash University, examining preventable and premature deaths of residential aged care residents, applying principles of public health and dignity of risk.
More recently, she began working with Monash Health at the Health and Social Care Unit.
Her research interests include healthy ageing, dementia, dignity of risk, education and training, healthcare systems, and implementing research into practice.
