Biography
Mark is an NH&MRC Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Monash where he heads the Leukemia Research Laboratory. His research focuses on the mechanisms underpinning malignant transformation and the identification of new therapeutic targets. His laboratory has developed a range of model systems that allows the testing and preclinical development of novel drug therapies for the treatment of cancers such as leukemia. His areas of expertise include molecular and cellular biology of cancer cells; cytokine and growth factor biology; intracellular signalling; drug discovery; translational research; preclinical models of cancer; haematology; blood diseases.
