Biography

Helen’s research investigates gender dynamics of rehabilitation and reintegration of women extremists. Her previous Master thesis investigated the gendered recruitment strategy of ISIS and the factors motivating women to join. She worked for Women without Borders, which internationally implement a community-based strategy to prevent violent extremism while focusing on women’s empowerment.
