Filippe Oliveira is an academic with teaching experience in Australia and overseas. He leads the Fetal and Neonatal Development undergraduate unit also teaches in postgraduate units in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

In 2017, Filippe played a key role in launching a suite of continuing professional development courses for healthcare providers in women's health, which he now coordinates. He’s a certified CPD representative (RACGP)and also engages with industry partners and networks to promote health education and clinical skills in Australia and overseas.

Filippe's main research interests are in how environmental exposures early in life play a role in the fetal-placental development and affect the risk of cardiometabolic diseases in adulthood.
