Biography
Erik researches ways to stop abuse and discriminatory behaviours in sport and teaches journalism in the Faculty of Arts. He is leading multiple studies investigating the drivers of harmful behaviours in traditionally male settings, such as mining operations and sports clubs. He has a passion for working collaboratively with business, government, and the sport industry to develop effective methods to stop these behaviours. Prior to joining Monash, Erik was an investigative journalist with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He has received over a dozen awards for his work in academia, public education, and journalism.
