Biography
Dawson’s research focuses on the neurophysiology of exercise, and his work has helped form the knowledge base for sport science in several Australian universities. He uses Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a non-invasive method of measuring the functional properties of the human brain, to understand how the nervous system functions to control movement after strength training. His findings are pivotal to rehabilitation planning after neuromuscular injury or disease.
