Biography
David is a Melbourne-based economist, researcher and consultant, and holds an adjunct lecturer appointment with the Monash Business School. He’s previously been employed as a research fellow at the University of Western Australia and senior research associate at Graduate Careers Australia, has served as a consultant to the Department of Education and Training Victoria, and has collaborated with leading research and policy institutes, including the Grattan Institute and the National Institute for Labour Studies.
A tertiary education specialist, David has authored numerous reports, papers and articles on issues relating to post-secondary education in Australia, and has presented papers at meetings and conferences across the globe. His areas of focus are the graduate labour market, skills mismatch, returns to education, university performance, equity in higher education, and the student experience.
David was awarded his PhD in economics from UNSW in 2015.
