Biography
Bronwyn’s research sits at the intersection of Participatory Design, Human Computer Interaction, Science and Technology Studies. She is particularly interested in how sensory and participatory design methods can support children and young people participate in the design of sustainable futures. She is leading two projects; Platform cooperativism and domestic work, which aims to explore how ICT-mediated cooperative approaches can be designed to support the social, cultural and economic empowerment of female domestic workers in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Our Water Futures, a collaboration with filmmaker Rowena Potts using participatory, film-based methodologies to support children to explore and communicate their everyday experiences with water, and the implications for future educational and technological innovation.
