Biography
Bethany’s research focus has been on programs that effect broader community and cultural change, to develop inclusive communities that promote positive outcomes for children and adolescents with disability, and/or from low socioeconomic homes or communities.
Her PhD examined the pathways through which poverty can impact the outcomes of children and adolescents, evaluating a school-based program designed to promote student voice and agency within their community. She’s collaborated with multidisciplinary teams both locally and globally to support delivery of culturally responsive, evidence-based programs for children, adolescents, families, schools, and other formal and informal community actors.
