Critical thinking skills
Tina has become a recognized expert on chemistry education. Her research focuses on the development of critical thinking skills, context and problem-based learning and their role in developing conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
Tina’s learning resources publications have been adopted in many institutions, and she has co-authored several textbooks in inorganic chemistry and skills development. She was Director of the national Higher Education Academy UK Physical Sciences Centre, which supported teaching and learning across chemistry, physics, astronomy and forensic science.
Tina co-teaches a popular four-week free online course with FutureLearn called How to Survive on Mars with Astrophysicist Jasmina Lazendic-Galloway.
