Biography
Syafiq is a Lecturer at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons) degree majoring in Medical Biotechnology from Monash University, Clayton Campus, Australia in 2012. He obtained his PhD in 2018 in Biomedical Science from Monash University (Malaysia). His PhD research focused on the proteomic characterisation and anti-cancer activities from the venom of Malaysian pit vipers on human colon cancer cells. His research interests include snake and jellyfish venomics, anti-cancer therapeutics, and anti-venom research.
