Biography
Russell is a lecturer in applied behaviour analysis. He’s a trained primary school teacher with experience teaching and working in mainstream primary schools.
His direct teaching experience has predominantly been in alternative education settings, specifically supporting primary and secondary students exhibiting behaviours of concern. He’s worked extensively with teachers in a capacity-building role delivering in-school teacher consultation to improve behaviour support in classrooms. A significant focus of this work was on supporting effective transitions within and to school.
His research interests include school-wide positive behaviour supports, multi-tiered systems of support, responsive teacher training, and the sustainability of implementation of evidence-based practices in education.
