Biography

Roger is a senior lecturer and researcher in renewable energy at Monash's Department of Civil Engineering. He's an expert in energy systems and climate change. He's conducted research in global carbon cycle science, simulating the emissions of carbon dioxide from fossil fuel and exchanges between the atmosphere, land and oceans as well as stratospheric ozone depletion.
Roger leads a research group of PhD students working on a diverse range of energy-related topics, including disruptive business models in the energy space, life cycle analysis and energy return on investment, optimised transmission systems and small-scale bioenergy projects.
