Brigadier General Professor Datuk Mohd Arshil Moideen (Rtd) is an expert in public health and aviation medicine. Prior to joining Monash, he served for many years in military medicine, including a tenure as the Dean of the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM) medical school. As Head of School, he oversees the Monash University Malaysia's medical education programs, clinical training at teaching hospitals, research and research collaborations. Professor Arshil currently spearheads the Aqua4Nity (Water for Humanity) project, which provides sustainable, community-managed water filtration systems to marginalised and remote communities in Malaysia, and has been an advocate for a National Hybrid Financing Model to ensure the sustainability of Malaysia's healthcare system.
