Mahendra is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar. Currently completing his PhD at Monash University, his research focuses on analysing real-world data from Australia's National Gynae-Oncology Registry (NGOR) to improve patterns of care and outcomes in ovarian cancer. He has extensive clinical and research experience in both New Zealand and Australia, including a fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
