Lakshini is a consultant neurologist and headache specialist, and is also Deputy Director of the Multidisciplinary Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre (MAPrc), a research institute dedicated to improving women's brain health.
She’s actively involved in clinical research, has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, regularly presents at national and international conferences, is completing a PhD at Monash University in headache medicine, and supervises medical and research students. She recently won a grant to investigate hormonal therapies for menstrually-related migraine, a well-known issue affecting many women worldwide.
