Biography

Joseph is a practising senior specialist in geriatric medicine with over 30-years of clinical experience in the health and well-being of older people.

He has research interests in medico-legal death investigation, elder abuse and "dignity of risk", as well as quality of clinical care, performance measurement and patient safety.

He established the Health Services Research Unit at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine after completing the Doctorate of Philosophy investigating the relationship between quality of care and performance indicators.
