Jo is a senior data officer for the ASPREE-XT study, with three years’ tutoring experience. She completed a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science at Deakin University, where she assisted on several projects at the Metabolic Research Unit and Biomedical and Analytical Research Laboratories.
In collaboration with Associate Professor Joanne Ryan, Jo completed her honours project at the Murdoch Research Children’s Institute (MCRI), looking at epigenetic mechanisms in adolescent brain development. She’s set to receive her Doctorate of Philosophy with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in 2023, and is currently investigating the role of epigenetic markers in children with ADHD.
