Jessica is a research fellow in the National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit (NAMHSU) at Turning Point and an adjunct research fellow in the Eastern Health Clinical School at Monash University. As a Research Fellow at Turning Point for more than 14 years, she’s managed the AODstats website since its inception.
Jessica has co-authored numerous reports for the Department of Health, relating to alcohol and drug-related harms in Victoria, and has contributed to 25 papers published in leading journals, including Drug and Alcohol Review, International Journal of Drug Policy, PLOS ONE and Addiction.
Her work at Turning Point has also involved a pilot project on the feasibility of turning AODstats
into a national system (DrugStats Australia). Other projects have included wastewater analysis in Victoria, hidden harms of alcohol and drugs in Australia, social harms of packaged liquor, a City of Melbourne bulletin on alcohol and drug-related attendances in the City of Melbourne, and a TAC project on alcohol and drug-related vehicle crashes attended by ambulance in Victoria.
