Biography

Erica's lab investigates neural regulation of cancer, studying how psychosocial risk factors such as chronic stress regulate the peripheral sympathetic nervous system to impact cancer progression and metastasis. Using in-vivo imaging technologies, her goal is to understand how stress modulates the tumour microenvironment, and how pharmacological interventions that block stress-response pathways protect against cancer progression.
