Atul is a consultant neonatologist at Monash Newborn and research scientist at the Ritchie Centre, Hudson Institute of Medical Research, and a senior lecturer appointment in the Department of Paediatrics at Monash University. His clinical research interests focus on improving respiratory and neurological outcomes of high-risk infants. He's been involved in a number of randomised clinical trials in neonatal conditions, and is keen on early neurodevelopment – he established the early detection (for cerebral palsy) clinic for high-risk neonates at Monash Children's Hospital.
