Alexandra’s research interests include insurgent governance and legitimation activities, insurgent women, political violence and organised crime with particular focus on Latin America. Her PhD examined why the Colombian government alternated between counterinsurgency and negotiation with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
