Biography
Alex is a landscape ecologist and Associate Professor, teaching on the Master of Urban Design at Monash University Indonesia. He has undertaken research across the world from Oceania to Southeast Asia and has a successful track record of applying landscape ecology perspectives to urban sustainability, environmental science and natural resource management. His research also focuses on developing methods to support sustainable planning and decision-making through novel spatial approaches including ecosystem services modelling, wildlife connectivity analyses, remote sensing and participatory web-based GIS mapping.
